Focus on the user
The project was focused around designing for the user. There was a clear disconnect between Ascom’s current product and actual user needs. A thorough user research including visits and interviews was planned, results were a clear way forward, both planning and design-wise, to get the user needs and the product aligned.
A solution supporting various user groups
Ascom’s pipeline did not represent the needs of the users. An items list for a MVP product was put together, along with a list of additional features that would improve the MVP substantially but would not be able to be produced before the clients first deadline.
The final part of the project included prototyping and user testing concepts on a selected group of transporters, coordinators and healthcare professionals. This was done to discover if the user needs we mapped after our visits were correctly applied in the new product.
